Step onto the floor with athletes in your own age bracket for five scored events. Bring your people, find your next challenge and spend the day amongst the Benton community.

The reason it’s called Battle of the Ages
Your age
is your division.
Male and female divisions, from 15 to 55+. You compete against athletes in your age bracket, with no separate RX or Scaled categories.
Your division is based on your age on competition day. Bring photo ID to check in.

Think CrossFit Open style workouts, tested by a wide range of Benton members. The movement standards let you check the skills, loads and alternatives before you enter.

The published list includes:
- Deadlifts, power cleans, front squats and shoulder to overhead.
- Wall walks, skipping, toes to bar or hanging straight leg raises.
- Kettlebell carries, dumbbell bench press and loaded lunges.
- Wall balls, ski erg, Echo bike, shuttle runs and burpees.

Battle of the Ages is their invitation to test yourself amongst people at a similar stage of life. There’s room for a serious effort and a smile between events.

Does registering interest secure my spot?
No. Registering interest means you can receive event details and ticket reminders. Your athlete entry is only confirmed once you complete your purchase through Competition Corner.
How do I know if the workouts suit me?
Start with the official movement standards. They outline the movements, loads and available alternatives. There are no separate RX or Scaled categories, so check the requirements for your age group and contact Ben if you’re unsure.
Read the official standardsWhich age division do I enter?
Use your age on 1 November 2026. There are male and female divisions in each of the nine age brackets, starting at 15 to 19 and finishing at 55+. Bring photo ID to athlete check in.
What if my division is full?
Competition Corner shows the current availability for each division and a waitlist where offered. Registering interest here does not reserve a place or add you to the Competition Corner waitlist.
Can friends and family come along?
There are designated spectator areas for friends and family to watch and cheer you on, plus a live DJ bringing the energy throughout the day.
What if I buy a ticket and can’t compete?
The event lists ticket purchases as final and nonrefundable. You can arrange a transfer to another athlete in the same age group and division until 25 October 2026. Contact the organisers to arrange a transfer and check the full terms on Competition Corner before purchasing.
